Ubisoft has laid off dozens of employees at Ubisoft’s San Francisco offices.
The announcement was made today in an internal meeting with staff, sources say, where it was said that the changes were being made as a part of the latest ongoing cost-restructuring efforts.
Ubisoft San Francisco’s development studio had already closed in late 2024, but it remained open to Ubisoft employees in areas such as IT, marketing, and so on.
The announcement is a part of yet another broader bloodbath at Ubisoft today, with two studios, Winnipeg and Belgrade, being closed, and other studios seeing dozens of employees laid off.
The exact number of those laid off is said to be somewhere between 50-100, but an exact number is not yet known.
