Another Ubisoft studio is closing its doors. Insider Gaming understands that Ubisoft Belgrade is the latest studio being shut down by the French publisher.
It joins the sudden closure of Ubisoft Winnipeg.
Ubisoft Belgrade was formed in 2016. During its time, the Serbian support studio worked on games such as Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Wildlands, The Crew 2, Rainbow Six, Skull & Bones, and more.
All employees at the studio have been let go, which was around 100 people strong. When it formed, the studio began with just 10 employees.
Sources say that interproject processes at Ubisoft are being “revamped” with new strategies. This has led to studio closures, layoffs, and employees being taken off certain projects.
Ubisoft hasn’t responded to multiple requests for comment.
