Pokémon Pokopia is getting a brand-new free underwater software update and a 3-part paid expansion.

The latest installment in the franchise has been very different from the previous games, and the fans love it. So much so that Pokémon Pokopia has already managed to sell through over 4 million units. It seems that the developers will keep on building for this game for a long time, as a free software update and a 3-part paid expansion pass have been announced.

Pokémon Pokopia Free Underwater Update Features

During the latest Nintendo Direct event, players were shown a brand-new trailer for Pokopia, in which the player explored underwater. Players will receive a new move called ‘Dive’ after completing the ‘Raise the Environment level’ request in Bleak Beach. They will also need to have the ‘jump’ ability and the ‘surf’ move in their arsenal. Once Dive has been learned, players can expand the reach of their town underwater. The free software update arrives in August 2026.
