The PUBG Mobile Global Open Season 1 circuit has ended, and 4thrives Esports have lifted the trophy, claiming the lion’s share of a $500,000 prize pool and contributing to the breaking of a massive Guinness World Record. This landmark event has once again proven why mobile esports are unbelievably powerful, pulling in staggering audiences and competitor pools.

Now that the tournament has concluded, it has been confirmed that the PUBG Mobile tournament has entered the annals of history, after 1,224,169 players from all around the world registered to take part in the action. This makes it, without any shadow of a doubt, the largest mobile team-based esports tournament in history.

PUBG Mobile’s Global Open is now a firm world record holder, after more than 1.22 million competitors registered to fight for the $500,000 prize pool. The event itself was held in Indonesia as a pro-am event that saw a staggering number of people vie for the trophy.

When the dust had settled, it was 4thrives Esports that claimed the top spot, securing the organization’s first major international PUBG Mobile victory. The Pakistani team will be remembered as the squad that pushed through 1.22 million challengers to make it through to the ultimate finish.

The organization fought alongside the most prolific PUBG Mobile teams in the business, including FURIA, a name that came out on top very early on but was eventually beaten back.

In a press release, representatives of the PUBG Mobile Global Open explained:

In a landmark milestone for PUBG MOBILE Esports, the tournament officially broke the Guinness World Records for the largest mobile team-based esports tournament with 1,224,169 players registering for the 2026 PMGO S1.

This marks a huge achievement in PUBG MOBILE Esports’ ongoing mission to build the world’s most inclusive and competitive mobile esports ecosystem. For the players and community, this is a testament to the passion, dedication, and unity of the more than a million who showed up — not just to compete, but to be part of something historic.

In addition to the tournament securing staggering competitor figures, it also racked up serious viewer numbers. More than 1.07 million peak viewers were tuned into the action, and throughout the 25 hours aired, the viewer average was locked in at around 323,000, further proving the power of PUBG Mobile esports.
