The trilogy that launched Agent 47’s journey to gaming superstardom has been rebuilt and is coming soon for PC and all major platforms. It’s been more than a quarter century since Codename 47 was first released in 2000 for the PlayStation 2. Since then, there have been numerous games and even a movie. But this Trilogy will take you back to the beginning.
Featuring Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and Hitman: Contracts, this remastered Trilogy will feature restored visuals, a new photo mode, and more.
HITMAN Classic Trilogy Remastered Details
As announced by Saber Interactive and IO Interactive on June 5, players will get to experience the original trilogy with upgraded character models, enhanced environments, and high-resolution textures. They also invited players to experience the progression of the games from an open-ended experiment to a refined system with a dark psychological tone.
“The legendary trilogy that forged the HITMAN legacy has been painstakingly rebuilt, honoring the ruthless atmosphere and unparalleled agency that defined a series. Whether returning to the field or taking on your first assignment, HITMAN Classic Trilogy Remastered will provide the ultimate entry into Agent 47’s early career,” the game announcement reads.
In 2026, IO Interactive has been riding high off the success of 007: First Light. The game became one of the company’s best-selling titles and one of the best-reviewed titles of all time in short order. Learn more about that here.
