Bandai Namco revealed a brand new game for one of the most popular sci-fi franchises out there, with Gundam Rogue Orbit arriving in 2027.
The reveal started with what looks like a cinematic trailer, with Gundam finally coming to save the day. However, things quickly changed as the trailer transitioned from cutscene moments to proper gameplay, with the Gundam taking on proper colossal creatures across different environments.
The trailer begins with a shot of sunflowers swaying in the wind, which quickly escalates into chaos. A massive creature appears to be attacking a space station, and viewers are shown various types of armored robots attempting to confront it. However, none of the robots succeed in their mission, leading Gundam to step in and confront the creature to restore order.
The new trailer provided players with a glimpse of the story behind the upcoming title, but the standout features were definitely the gameplay mechanics. Viewers got to experience the various types of attacks and weapons that players will have at their disposal, with a massive sword being highlighted prominently. Additionally, the trailer offered insights into the types of enemies players will face, which appear quite formidable. Check out the trailer for Gundam Rogue Orbit below:
