As of now, November 2026 is dominated by the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. While some indie games are launching that month, most developers have chosen to keep their distance from what is expected to be the most anticipated game of its generation.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled for release on November 19. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has confirmed this release date several times in recent weeks. However, players remain cautious, as the game has experienced multiple delays in the past. Consequently, many developers are doing their best to avoid competing with this anticipated blockbuster.
Devolver Digital Continues Playful Feud With GTA 6 Launch
Devolver Digital is one of the few indie developers that isn’t shying away from the situation. They even took to social media to express their confidence. Devolver has teased following GTA and letting them know that they won’t be ignored on social media; in fact, they have commented on multiple GTA delays, letting them know they’re not afraid.
If Grand Theft Auto 5 is anything to go by, GTA 6 will continue to generate revenue for years to come. GTA 5 still sells about 5 million copies per quarter, well over a decade after its release. GTA 6 is projected to help generate $8 billion in revenue within the next fiscal year. Learn more about that here.
It’s worth noting that Nintendo currently has no major releases slated for November, but they’re playing in their own realm and will be the only console not seeing growth from GTA 6.
