Pearl Abyss has unveiled a new roadmap for Crimson Desert that outlines updates and plans that will run through until September 2026.
Since Crimson Desert was released back in March this year, Pearl Abyss has practically reshaped the game from how it was at launch. Updates to difficulty settings and endgame content stood out, but it doesn’t seem like the developers are done yet, as a new batch of updates is on the horizon.
Details On Crimson Desert’s New Roadmap
The new roadmap for Crimson Desert was shared on the latest Dev Update by Pearl Abyss, and it seems to cover practically every aspect of the game. Here’s the full list of features that will be improved upon in the next few months:
- Story Improvements
- Re-Blockade Update
- New Combat Content
- Cross-Save
- Damiane & Oongka Gameplay Improvements
- QOL Improvements For Non-Combat Content
Main details include improving the coherence of key narrative scenes to strengthen the flow of Kliff’s story, allowing Damiane and Oongka to get a better share of the spotlight gameplay-wise, and adjustments to trading and farming.
It’s worth noting that there’s no date-specific roadmap for these updates; instead, they’ll be rolled out gradually from June through September. Pearl Abyss are aiming for these updates to be meaningful for both new and returning players, and more in-depth details will be shared as and when they occur.
To round out the post, Pearl Abyss shared that DLC is officially in development, though details on that remain incredibly scarce. Still, it’s confirmation of what was originally a consideration, so expect even more Crimson Desert content in the more distant future.
