Epic Games and BLAST have confirmed that the Fortnite Global Championship 2026 is headed to Antwerp, Belgium, this coming September. The supersized event is destined to be the biggest staple in the Fortnite competitive schedule this season, boasting a massive $2 million prize pool and featuring 50 duos.

Epic then confirmed that, once the FGC 2026 has wrapped, a standalone FNCS Solos tournament will land in October 2026, offering another competitive angle for the best players in the business.

FNCS is Going to Belgium This Year

In a post on the Fortnite site, Epic Games unveiled everything you could want to know about the Fortnite Global Championship, which is taking place in Antwerp, Belgium, between September 26 and 27.

The qualification path has evolved this season, with FNCS Major 2 being shifted to July 18, with the grand final stages being dated for August 1 and 2. This will see the top 25 duos at the event secure spots at the Fortnite Global Championship.

Major 3 will serve as the FNCS Global Championship LCQ, and that starts on August 3, keeping things moving fast. This online-only event will determine the final ten duos to complete the roster for Antwerp’s $2 million tournament.

But how will it work?

The top 50 Fortnite duos on the planet will descend upon Belgium to compete in 12 games across two days, earning points based on placement and eliminations. It’s the stock-standard offering for a battle royale title, and it’s something Fortnite esports fans are very familiar with.

Last year’s Fortnite Global Championship saw the trio of SwizzY, Queasy, and Merstach walk away with the $450,000 grand prize.
