ARC Raiders Finally Wins a Game of the Year Award

The Nordic Game Awards 2026 have come to a close, and the ARC Raiders have finally won a Game of the Year award.

Embark Studios’ breakout extraction shooter, ARC Raiders, has garnered several awards since its release, primarily for its multiplayer features. The game has been nominated for Game of the Year at prestigious award ceremonies, including BAFTA, DICE, and The Game Awards, but has not secured the top honor at these major events. However, the Nordic Game Awards recently changed that for them.

The Nordic Game Awards 2026 announced this year’s winners in a press release shared with Insider Gaming. ARC Raiders emerged as the big winner, taking home the prestigious Nordic Game of the Year award along with honors for Best Audio and Best Technology. The Nordic Game Awards are hosted every spring, where not only games from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden are honored, but also developers, publishers, investors, students, and creatives from these regions get to network, learn, and find business opportunities. This year’s award show developers from Sweden take home the most honors.

Many fans were disappointed that ARC Raiders did not win Game of the Year (GOTY) at any major award ceremony, as the game was widely regarded as one of the best extraction shooters in recent years. However, Embark Studios has finally received a GOTY award, bringing more recognition for their efforts on the title.

In other news, the first batch of changes for Ermal has arrived, and his prices have been adjusted.
