Destiny 2 Players Aiming to ‘Slam Servers’ With Big Party on June 9

The Destiny conversation is only getting louder, as players are continuing to protest about the series apparently coming to a standstill. The newest twist is that Destiny 2 players plan to overload the servers on June 9 as an act of defiance.

If you’ve not been keeping up with the Destiny developments, oh boy. It’s been a wild month as Bungie announced Destiny 2 was getting no more updates. Not only that, but the news on Bungie making Destiny 3 after Destiny 2 isn’t good either.

With a petition ongoing and accruing serious signatures by the minute, the community has come up with another initiative.

Now, a Reddit post has gained traction and started to appear across all social media platforms that mention Destiny 2.

‘Everyone – Log in on June 9th’ is the simple message on the Destiny subreddit.

User w1nds0r has a plan:

We need to at least smash Marathon’s all time high to show them they made the wrong decision.

Heresy was amazing, the edge of fate story was interesting. They let this happen by doubling down on bad system changes and ignoring player feedback.

I feel like everyone should make a decent effort to log in on June 9th to show them this is a franchise worth continuing to invest in. If you can, try to get your friend and clan mates to all log in when the last update drops, it’s our last chance to send a message the franchise is still valuable. That’s all really.
