It seems that another 2012 build of BioShock Infinite has surfaced online, revealing some new elements.

For those unaware, BioShock Infinite’s final version differed from the gameplay demo showcased at Gamescom 2010, leading many players to wonder what the early version of the game might have been like. A few builds of that version have surfaced in the past, and now a new one has seemingly been spotted.

BioShock Infinite 2012 Build Seemingly Reveals More Cut Content

A new post by X user (formerly Twitter), Dr. Hingis, reveals that an October 2012 build of BioShock Infinite has been uploaded to The Hidden Place. Similar to previous builds, the game is unplayable; however, players can access the menu. When asked what’s different, the poster stated that “UI is completely different” and that the files feature a few models. One user has also spotted a “Sky_TestMap” in the files. Readers should take this information with a grain of salt, as Insider Gaming hasn’t been able to verify the information.

Several 2012 builds have been spotted over the years. The December 2012 menu featured ‘debug’ and “several PDBS and executables for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.” The one from November 2012 featured the age rating build. Lastly, the new build was stabilized using localization files from the age-rating builds. However, the game is still not playable, and the only new features are the ability to interact with the main menu and other options. Previously, players have learned about the existence of various enemies, weapons, story content, additional levels, multiplayer, and more.

In other news, the BioShock movie has a chance to tie into a new game, and its production begins in 2027. Additionally, BioShock movie’s producer has confirmed that it is “definitely” based on the first game. What are your thoughts on a new BioShock Infinite 2012 build surfacing online?
