After what has felt like an age, Fortnite is transitioning into a new chapter, with the switch right around the corner, and a Live Event is scheduled to bring the curtain down on Chapter 7 Season 2.
The current chapter in Fortnite kicked off in mid-March, and while regular acts in the season have brought new additions to the Epic Games behemoth, it has gone stale for many.
Fortunately, though, Fortnite is set for a major shake-up with a new season, and a big Live Event is on the horizon.
When is The Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 Live Event?

The Fortnite Shattered Live Event that brings a close to Chapter 7 Season 2 takes place on Friday, June 5, with the timings depending on your location in the world.
Epic Games has adjusted the start times from the usual period to 7 PM ET, which means those in Europe are set for a late night, while those in Australia and New Zealand will have early morning entertainment.
Doors to the event open 40 minutes prior to the start time, and it’s advised that you get in early as live events are always extremely popular, attracting thousands of players worldwide.

What to Expect in the Live Event
Full details of exactly what is taking place in the Live Event won’t be revealed until it takes place, but expect regular teasers and leaks to emerge in the build-up to the event.
Fortnite has an update scheduled for May 28, the final one of the chapter, which will likely uncover more details about the plans. However, some details are already known.
Epic Games has confirmed that your experience in the event will depend on whether you chose Team Ice King or Team Foundation at the start of the chapter, though it’s not detailed exactly how, and after the arrival of Overwatch characters in Act 3, it’s highly likely that they will be involved in the finale.
For the first time in a while, however, there haven’t been tonnes of rumours about what is coming in the next chapter, and though that might change in the final days of the season, it’s raising excitement levels.
