Dead by Daylight is Finally Getting Jason Voorhees as a Killer

Behavior Interactive has just revealed that Jason Voorhees, the iconic, hockey-masked serial killer from the Friday the 13th franchise, is coming to Dead by Daylight as the next killer. Jason arrives in Dead by Daylight as the game approaches its prestigious tenth anniversary, with players far and wide welcoming everything Behavior has to offer.

Jason Voorhees joins the likes of Alien’s Xenomorph, Nightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger, Texas Chainsaw’s Leatherface, and SAW’s Amanda Young in the DBD crossover category.

Jason is Coming to Dead by Daylight

In the last decade, Dead by Daylight has welcomed a stunning list of vicious, brutal killers. The roster has been expanded via collaborations and special events, introducing characters from other franchises, such as Chucky, Tokyo Ghoul, Resident Evil, and Stranger Things.

It’s not just the killers, of course. We’ve also seen survivors make their way into the dark universe, with icons like The Walking Dead’s leads, Lara Croft, Alan Wake, Ellen Ripley, and Ash Williams all appearing over the years.

But now, a character that might be the most iconic horror visage of all time, Jason Voorhees, is coming to Dead by Daylight.

Jason’s imminent arrival in Dead by Daylight follows more than 45 years of movie history. There are few people privy to film and television who can’t recognize the hockey mask as Jason’s trademark, even if the string of movies never received stellar reviews.
