During CES 2025, players were made aware of a new Virtua Fighter project, and the announcement included a 35-second in-engine gameplay snippet. However, players received only pre-development footage from the game’s engine, not actual gameplay. Now, gameplay footage has surfaced online, showcasing the game’s combat mechanics and various character move sets.
Virtua Fighter Crossroads Gameplay Leak Provides First Look at Game’s Combat
A new gameplay trailer for Virtua Fighter Crossroads has been leaked and was spotted by Day One on the r/virtuafighter subreddit. The video opens with the title “Virtua Fighter Crossroads VS Battle” and quickly transitions to gameplay footage. Viewers can see a variety of combat moves, along with clips of developers discussing the development process, although the video does not have audio.
Players are introduced to two characters, Cielo and Stella, who each demonstrate a variety of skills in their moveset. The game features a transition from a 2D combat setup to a 3D close-up during certain special moves, highlighting the action. Additionally, there are some slow-motion shots where a character loses a tooth right before being knocked out. Overall, the gameplay looks like a lot of fun and is highly technical.
Now that the trailer has leaked for Virtua Fighter Crossroads, it seems like an official reveal could be around the corner. However, there is no official word from the devs yet.
