Insomniac has finally revealed when fans can expect to see more of Marvel’s Wolverine, with the game set to get a deep dive during the newly announced State of Play.
The event will take place on June 2, with an hour-long show being kick-started by a fresh new look at Wolverine, including new gameplay and combat details. The game is still on course to release exclusively on the PlayStation 5 on 15 September, 2026.
More Wolverine Coming Soon
Fans have long been wondering when new Wolverine gameplay would be shared, with Insomniac originally stating that more would be revealed this Spring. Of course, as the months ticked by and drew closer to Summer, it was only a matter of time before a date would be revealed—just many didn’t expect it to be all the way in June.
Still, this upcoming State of Play is set to be Sony’s big Summer showcase, with over an hour of reveals, trailers and announcements to tide fans over; what better way to start the show than with Wolverine himself?
In fact, it’s likely that pre-orders should open shortly after the new trailer, with Insomniac saying back in March that pre-orders wouldn’t open until more of the game was shown off. Well, with the showcase-opening footage on the way, there likely won’t be a better time to build off of the hype and open pre-orders, so keep an eye open—we might even see some edition details.
