007 First Light will feature PS5 Pro’s Upgraded PSSR, which will provide the best experience players can get on console.
Everybody’s highly anticipated James Bond-themed edition is all set to release this month, with 007 First Light launching on May 27, 2026. IO Interactive has already done a good job with the visuals from what we have seen with the trailers, but it seems they are taking it a step ahead with the PS5 Pro version.
007 First Light Looks Even Better with the Upgraded PSSR
The upgraded PSSR will enhance image quality for 007: First Light, particularly in dense foliage and close-up shots of characters and cinematics. Players will also experience fewer shimmering and flickering artifacts, resulting in a smoother, more cohesive visual experience.
Additionally, players will find the camera significantly more stable during motion, as the PS5 Pro’s enhanced PSSR better stabilizes the image and retains its definition. Finer details, such as hair and fabric, will also showcase improved clarity.
The upgraded PSSR for 007 First Light was integrated in record time, and the base output was strong enough that no per-scene tuning was needed across various locations and lighting conditions in the game. Players will be able to take advantage of the upgraded PSSR on the PS5 Pro as soon as 007 First Light is released.
In other news, the 007: First Light team praised Patrick Gibson’s take on Bond while addressing fan debate over the new portrayal.
