Sony has announced that the PlayStation Plus price will be increasing on May 20 for new customers in select regions.
PlayStation Plus is Sony’s subscription service for its console players. Through the service, players not only receive a collection of games every month but also discounts, online multiplayer, and several other features. Starting this month, some users will have to pay slightly more than usual.
PlayStation Plus Price Increase Coming on May 20
A new post on X (formerly Twitter) by the official PlayStation account confirms the price increase for the subscription service. The price increase will take effect from May 20, and the console maker has cited “ongoing market conditions” as the reason for the increase. Check out the new starting prices for PS Plus that new customers in select regions will have to pay below:
- 1 Month Subscriptions: $10.99 USD / €9.99 EUR / £7.99 GBP
- 3 Month Subscription: $27.99 USD / €27.99 EUR / £21.99 GBP
Sony has stated that these prices do not apply to current subscribers unless your subscription is changed or ends. However, this doesn’t apply to users in Turkey and India.
