Nintendo has announced that it will be returning to Gamescom Cologne in 2026.
Nintendo was a huge part of Gamescom in 2025, and as it was right after the Switch 2 reveal, a lot of fans got to try the games coming to the platform beforehand, including Pokémon Legends: Z-X, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and much more. Now they will be coming back for the latest iteration, hopefully with more games to play and reveal.
A new X post (formerly Twitter) by the official Nintendo account confirms the Switch maker’s attendance at Gamescom 2026. Nintendo will be attending all dates, which include August 26-30. At the moment, we have no idea what they will bring to the table, but the company has asked players to keep an eye on their social channels, so there should definitely be more details coming out before the event.
Nintendo has some big games coming out in the coming months, at least the rumors and new announcements say so. In a surprise Nintendo Direct earlier this month, it was revealed that a new Star Fox was coming to the Switch 2, with completely reimagined character designs and full English voice acting. Speaking of rumors, a well-known insider has also stated that a major Zelda remake is set to release in 2026, so there are some big games to look forward to.
In other news, a new Gears of War and Dead Space clone has appeared on the Nintendo eShop and will be released this month. Additionally, a 27-year-old man has been arrested and has admitted to charges of threatening to bomb Nintendo’s Kyoto headquarters.
