To unlock new Crafting Recipes in Crimson Desert, you’ll need to get your hands on some Crafting Books.

These come in a bunch of varieties, offering both different types of gear as well as rarities. For example, early on in the game, you’ll find the likes of Accessories of the World, Vol. 1, which allows you to craft some early gear jewellery for Kliff.

However, as you progress, you’ll begin to find higher-tier volumes of these Crafting Books, which unlock more complex Crafting Recipes for you to use. Naturally, these will require some rarer resources to craft, but they’ll come with the added benefits of being far more powerful.

The good news is that there are so many Crafting Books out there to find. The bad news? You’ll have to go looking for them, so here’s where to search.

Where To Find Crafting Books In Crimson Desert

There isn’t just one set spawn location for each Crafting Book, as various copies of the same books can be found scattered across Pywel.

Depending on how you look at it, that can be both good and bad. On the one hand, it means you’ve got a higher chance of finding a new Crafting Book naturally through exploration; on the other, it means it’s harder to pinpoint exactly where to look, thanks to the expansive size of the open world.

That being said, the game does give you some pointers. Whenever you’re near a Crafting Book, a small book symbol will appear on the mini-map, allowing you to track it down with ease. However, it’s likely that you’ll have to steal it, so make sure you have a Mask handy.

Some quests will even reward you with Crafting Books, so it’s best to get a lot of the early-game side quests out of the way quickly, because it could save you searching around aimlessly for new books.
