If you’ve been enjoying playing the likes of God of War, the ‘Ghost’ franchise, and other Sony single-player games on PC, you might need to upgrade to a PS5 for future releases, if you haven’t already.
In a shocking turn of events, Sony is ending the bulk of its third-party exclusivity strategy by taking away future core single-player titles from PC. This means that upcoming games like Wolverine will remain PS5 exclusives, and it surely shuts the door on PlayStation-to-Xbox ports.
Single-Player Sony Titles To Remain PlayStation Exclusives Moving Forward

In a monumental report from Jason Schreier of Bloomberg (paywalled), the journalist has revealed that “Sony Group Corp. no longer plans to release its big PlayStation 5 games on PC.”
Over the last six-plus years, PC players have gratefully accepted ports of Returnal, God of War, God of War Ragnarok, the Spider-Man games, and the Horizon franchise.
Schreier claims that “in recent weeks, PlayStation scrapped plans to bring Ghost of Yotei and other internally developed games to PC.”
On the other hand, multiplayer titles WILL remain as third-party releases, such as Marathon and Marvel Tokon.
A PlayStation spokesperson has apparently refused to comment on this strategic shift.
