When you think you’ve done everything in Resident Evil Requiem, there’s likely to be one challenge left if you don’t know how to complete it: The Final Puzzle. Questions about how to solve it have battered the game’s early days.
‘The Final Puzzle’ is one of the many challenges in Resident Evil Requiem. Don’t be surprised if it’s the last one you end up ticking off, if ever. It’s extremely mysterious, and even Capcom has given very little away about it.
Has The Final Puzzle Been Completed Yet In Resident Evil Requiem?

Officially, it’s unclear if The Final Puzzle has been completed in Resident Evil Requiem, as one YouTube content creator claims to have done it, but not everyone is convinced.
As of March 2, 2026, it seems like only one person has claimed to have beaten The Final Puzzle: Gengar Collects.
In their ‘Possible World’s First To Solve The Final Puzzle In Resident Evil Requiem!’ video, they showed their challenge list, with The Final Puzzle marked as completed with a check mark.
There has been much confusion about which items you need and how to get them for The Final Puzzle, particularly Marie’s Doll. Gengar claims to have picked up Marie’s Doll during Grace’s escape in the underground lab after Victor Gideon triggers the self-destruct sequence.
If you check the Resident Evil main Reddit, X, or anywhere else, no one seems to be able to get the doll to spawn—making this either the biggest slice of fortune imaginable, or the claim isn’t true—Insider Gaming does not know, but no one else seems to be able to replicate this.
We’ll mark The Final Puzzle as unsolved for now, until an established solution is found that everyone can trigger.
Stay tuned for more updates on The Final Puzzle mystery.
What Is The Final Puzzle In Resident Evil 9? All Clues & Answers So Far
The Final Puzzle is a convoluted challenge that requires you to input a very specific and long strand of code, while having certain items in your inventory, such as the Severed Hand and Marie’s Doll.
Here’s everything known about The Final Puzzle to this point (with a lot of help from The Final Puzzle subreddit):
- You need to pick up the Severed Hand and analyze it using one of Requiem’s two Laser Microscopes.
- It gives you this message: Let’s play. GGC AAG AUA ACG UGU CAU.
- When you find the Hourglass in the hunt for the Helicopter key, tip it upside down to remove all sand, and it reveals a message: U = 380,000.
- The Moon is roughly 380,000 kilometers from the Earth, making U represent Moon.
- The Research Facility beneath the Care Center’s Courtyard has Grace Ashcroft’s Blood Analysis Report.
- C = 4.2 ly is the final entry, and according to the subreddit (because this is too smart for us): “The distance to the nearest Star (that is not the Sun) happens to be 4.2 light years away.”
- Making C represent Star.
- Furthermore, on the side of the Laser Microscope in the Blood Lab, it says ‘G = 150,000,000.’
- Long story short, ignore the science; it’s the sun. G represents the Sun.
- The mystery surrounding the letter ‘A’ borderlines Sherlock Holmes-levels of detective work.
- Defeat Super Tyrant behind RPD.
- Access the shortcut through the basketball court.
- Kick the Toy Uncle Bobblehead on the ground into the fallen hoop nearby.
- You should hear a door unlocking sound effect.
- Go to the bobblehead in Kendo’s Shop, interact with the torso, and it says: “Just ignore A.“
- All values are now known for ‘GGC AAG AUA ACG UGU CAU.’
- Enter the following into the puzzle machine in the Lead Researcher’s Office: Sun, Sun, Star, then Sun, Moon, Star, then Sun, Moon, Sun, and finally Moon, Star, Moon.
- A child’s laughter plays, but this still isn’t enough to solve The Final Puzzle right now!
