Sony shuts down Bluepoint Games

Sony is shutting down Bluepoint Games, the PlayStation-owned studio best known for high-end remakes like Demon’s Souls and Shadow of the Colossus.

According to Jason Schreier’s report for Bloomberg, Sony said the decision followed a recent business review and that Bluepoint will close in March. The Austin-based team has roughly 70 employees, and Sony said it will try to place some impacted staff into roles elsewhere across its global studios where possible.
