Riftbound, Riot’s new League of Legends trading card game, already has a ton of buzz. While some players are still frantically buying booster packs from the first set, others are eagerly anticipating the next one. Spiritbound introduces 200 new cards, including champions like Ezreal, Lucian, and Rumble. It releases in China soon, but the English version isn’t far behind.
Riftbound Spiritforged release countdown
We don’t have an official release date for Riftbound Spiritforged, but the English version of the set is expected to drop in February 2026. The Chinese version, meanwhile, comes a couple of months earlier. It should be here in December. We’ll update this article when Riot locks in a specific date.

What to expect from Riftbound Spiritforged
As well as over 200 new cards, Spiritforged will include two decks you can play right off the bat. I’m guessing we’ll get an Irelia deck purely based on promo material, and maybe an Ezreal or Vi deck. The set will also presumably introduce new mechanics to hopefully spice up the Kai’Sa-dominated meta.
While we don’t know the specifics yet, the first set included a Proving Grounds box. This beginner-friendly box contained everything you needed to learn the game. It also came with four easy-to-play decks. It remains to be seen if the next set will include something similar, but it wouldn’t surprise me if we get something like this. That’s on top of booster packs, of course.
Here’s a list of the confirmed champions making an appearance in Spiritforged:

We don’t know if all of these champions will be legends, but there’s a good chance they will—or at least most of them will. I’m personally excited to try a Lucian deck. I can imagine a mechanic that allows you to dish out another point of damage, similar to how his passive works in League of Legends.
How to pre-order Riftbound Spiritforged
It’s still a little too early for Riftbound Spiritforged pre-orders in North America, but a surprising number of stores in Europe are already listing the next set. If you’re on another continent and desperate to get the set before anyone else, you could pre-order from Europe, but I recommend waiting until it’s available in your region. We’ll update this article when more pre-orders are available.

How to buy the Chinese version of Riftbound Spiritforged
If you absolutely can’t wait for the English version of Riftbound Spiritforged, nothing is stopping you from buying some Chinese booster packs—except maybe your bank account.
While I personally don’t recommend it, you can buy packs, decks, and more from platforms like eBay and AliExpress. This will likely come with a considerable markup and probably a hefty delivery fee, and you won’t even be able to read them unless you speak Mandarin. Get ready to learn Chinese, buddy.
