Razork says Fnatic roster shake-up was necessary after hitting a wall with Humanoid

Fnatic jungler Razork recently opened up about the organization’s roster changes leading to the LEC Summer Split 2025, admitting that the decision to part ways with mid laner Humanoid came after the team hit a ceiling in their development.

“For Humanoid, I obviously love him a lot, but I felt like something had to change because we were not really succeeding together. We were not burned out with each other, but it just felt like we couldn’t really improve more together. We were kind of stuck,” Razork said in an interview with Sheep Esports. “Something new was needed, in my opinion, and Fnatic made the decision to change mid.”

The jungler made it clear the decision wasn’t strictly about Humanoid’s individual play. He admitted that he, too, was at risk of being replaced, and that the final choice ultimately rested with Fnatic’s management. “It could have been me as well,” he acknowledged, underlining that the shake-up was about refreshing the team dynamic rather than targeting one player.

When asked if Humanoid had become Fnatic’s scapegoat, Razork pushed back on the idea that one player alone was to blame. He explained that while individuals can underperform on certain days, losses should be seen as a team effort, and fans often look for someone to single out regardless of context. In Humanoid’s case, Razork admitted that the criticism sometimes went too far, but he remains one of the best mid laners in Europe, even calling him top two in the region during the interview. 

Humanoid first joined Fnatic in late 2021 ahead of the 2022 season, arriving from MAD Lions after back-to-back LEC titles. During his time with Fnatic, he helped secure two Worlds qualifications and reached multiple domestic finals, but a trophy always eluded the roster.

Fnatic replaced Humanoid with a T1 prodigy in Poby, who is currently playing his first LEC Split with the squad. The men in orange and black will now face GIANTX in the lower brackets on Sept. 15 to potentially have a deep run and qualify as the third seed for Worlds 2025.
