Resident Evil Requiem & Veronica Remake Getting Major DLC Expansions, It’s Claimed

The most recent Capcom Resident Evil projects are the 2026 release of Requiem and 2027’s Veronica remake. A reputable insider has claimed that Capcom is planning major single-player DLC plans for both.

It’s all hands on deck for Capcom with the Resi franchise at present. Requiem is an easy GOTY contender, whereas the Code Veronica remake will be a huge deal in 2027. But it’s been reported that neither game is done yet.

If it’s time for some behind-the-scenes Resident Evil information, then it’s time for the go-to source: Dusk Golem.

The insider always had the lowdown on new Resident Evil leaks and information, and the leaker has commented on the future of both RE: Requiem and Veronica:

‘*cough Capcom’s temporary solution to there being no spin-offs in the works is they’ve in the last few months decided to focus on major several hour long DLC story expansions for Resident Evil Requiem & Veronica, & possibly future RE titles to fit into current pipeline cough*

This is in response to the recent story about Capcom’s producer giving an update on new Resident Evil spin-off games.

As usual with insider leaks, do take this info with a pinch of salt, but Dusk Golem is usually spot on. As long as it’s good, Resident Evil DLC will be worth the wait.

It’s looking like any Requiem DLC is going to be a long way off yet, though, as any story DLC will reportedly release after the Veronica Remake.

With Capcom not interested in Resident Evil 5 & 6 Remakes at present, and a Resident Evil 1 Remake now reportedly in pre-production, this means there’s a lot of new Resi content in the works.
