Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Zero Remakes ‘Will Tie Into Requiem,’ It’s Claimed

Resident Evil: Veronica was announced during Summer Game Fest 2026, and audiences exploded, as did minds and expectations. Capcom will pour its heart and soul into this as it has done with the previous Resident Evil remakes, but it’s come to light that RE: Veronica might have a connection to 2026’s Resident Evil Requiem.

Resident Evil Requiem carried on Capcom‘s ridiculous 2026, and the company’s stock rose further with Resident Evil: Veronica at Summer Game Fest 2026. But now we’re living in a world where both Veronica, the also-rumored Zero remake, and Requiem share a bond?

Yes, we knew the remake was coming, but the official reveal was no less special.

Resident Evil: Veronica Will Directly Tie Into Resident Evil Requiem

If it’s secret information about Resident Evil, you know who we’re going to for this news: The ever-reliable Dusk Golem.

The insider has recently discussed Capcom’s stance on Resident Evil 5 and 6 Remakes. Additionally, they’ve also shared some context about Veronica and how it ties into the RE universe right now.

Here’s what Dusk Golem (via ResetEra) said about Veronica and its place in the timeline:

‘They aren’t thinking of tying this Remake line to Requiem specifically. Veronica and Zero Remake will tie into Requiem, but honestly that has a lot more to do with the fact they were in dev at the same time as Requiem than any master plan idea, and Requiem specifically sets up Veronica & RE:0 to tie more into itself.

It was revealed after Veronica’s 2026 unveiling that the story would be reshaped to fit in the ever-changing and twisting RE lore. This is further evidence of this.
