The world of Pokémon Pokopia is set to evolve with the addition of new content, including the paid-for Expansion Pass bringing Bubbly Basin to the game.
Released earlier this year, Pokémon Pokopia has benefitted from regular free content updates from Koei Tecmo, and while there are some free additions coming to all players, the major new arrival in the DLC is the Bubbly Basin area.
If you can’t wait to dive into the new area in Pokémon Pokopia, Insider Gaming has all the information you need.
When Does Pokémon Pokopia DLC Wave 1 Bubbly Basin Launch?

The first wave of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass featuring the Bubbly Basin DLC launch is set for August 5, 2026.
This marks the first drop of paid expansion content for Pokopia, though it also arrives alongside a free update with new features for all players, and is the first of three announced waves.
While an exact launch time is not confirmed at the time of writing, it’s expected to land at the same time as the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC, meaning a late night for those in the United States and Europe.
The table below details the expected release time for Wave 1 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass in major regions worldwide, which we’ll update with concrete details, if necessary.

What’s Coming in The Pokémon Pokopia DLC Wave 1?
The standout addition from the paid-for Expansion Pass in the first wave is Bubbly Basin, a new area to explore and rebuild, with new Pokémon to befriend.
This underwater area is based on Cerulean City from the Kanto region, with new Pokémon revealed including Popplio, Corsola, and more.
Alongside the update with paid-for content, underwater exploration is set to be added for all players in a free update, alongside other yet-to-be-revealed additions.
This marks the first of three waves of DLC coming to Pokémon Pokopia, with the next set to launch later this year, though that will be without a new area to rebuild.
