Pokémon Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale Dates Announced

A new Pokémon Go Fest event has been announced in the form of Pokémon Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale, set to take place worldwide later this year.

Pokémon Go Fest takes place several times a year, with real-world locations filled with activities alongside worldwide content available in-game, and a new date has been announced to bring a close to the 2026 events.

Pokémon Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale Dates Announced

In a post on social media, Pokémon Go Fest 2026: Mega Finale was announced to take place on September 5th and September 6th 2026.

The official announcement on the website states that the excitement for the Go Fest season is “far from over,” with “one last global event coming up.”

It’s added that “more details about this end-of-summer event will be announced soon,” but there is already speculation around what could be introduced.

Pokémon Go, like the Pokémon TCG and other aspects of the franchise, has been focused on the return of Mega Pokémon that came in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, where various new forms were introduced.

Many of these have since made their way into Pokémon Go, including Mega Starmie, Mega Raichu X & Y, Mega Skarmory, and more.

Big omissions, as it stands, include the Mega forms of the trio of starters in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Mega Meganium, Mega Feraligatr, and Mega Emboar, which would make sense to be the showcase additions of the final Go Fest event.

However, the long list of Mega Pokémon still to be added includes other favorites like Mega Garchomp Z, Mega Lucario Z, Mega Greninja, Mega Chesnaught, and Mega Delphox, so there’s no shortage of potential options.
