Ubisoft is set to peel back the curtain on some new Ghost Recon details.
With rumors and speculation running rampant online, the studio took to social media on Monday to announce that news on the franchise is set to come next month.
Multiple Ghost Recon Projects Are Coming
On August 6, in celebration of the franchise’s 25th anniversary, Ubisoft will bring fans an update on the franchise. As far as what those updates will be, there are some obvious ones.
The first is the likely announcement of a Ghost Recon Wildlands Definitive Edition. Images have been circulating online of the definitive edition of the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. According to the graphic, this updated version of the game will come with 4K60 support and a new mission.
Other than that, it’s unclear if there will be an update on the next game in the franchise, codenamed Project OVR.
The game has been in development for years at this point, and was scheduled to hit internal Alpha earlier this year. However, the studio missed Alpha and has even seen some features cut or “rescheduled” to meet internal deadlines. Right now, the goal is to reach beta by November.
