Metal Gear Solid 4 finally escapes the PlayStation 3 purgatory with Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.2

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is finally getting a modern release as part of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.2, ending an 18-year period where the game was effectively tied to the PlayStation 3. And Bloodborne fans thought they had it rough.

Konami announced the collection during the Feb. 12 PlayStation State of Play, with the collection launching on Aug. 27, 2026.
