LoL Fans Furious After Only 430 Worlds Tickets Allegedly Released

Tickets for the League of Legends World Championship (LoL Worlds) have finally gone on sale but many esports fans have been left frustrated.

This year’s championships is being hosted in North America, with the final in Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center.

The general sale for the LoL Worlds 2026 final sold out immediately, with fans who claimed to have been 100th and even 20th in the queue left unable to secure tickets.

Now, dataminers are claiming that Riot only released around 430 tickets in this general sale, and they were snatched up immediately.

What is Happening with LoL Worlds 2026 Tickets?

The Barclays Center can hold up to 19,000 people for concert set-ups, which should also apply to esports events.

Currently, Ticketmaster shows the event as sold out, though more tickets are expected to be released next month.

However, scalpers have already listed tickets on resale websites like Seatgeek, with prices ranging from $1.6k to $3.2k.

Meanwhile, the tickets originally available in the general sale today cost somewhere between $120 and $350 USD.

Over the last two days, tickets were sold to individuals who verified themselves with Riot accounts and signed up for the presale back in June.

However, that didn’t go smoothly either and Riot was forced to release a statement which claims:

“After this verification process, the number of eligible fans still far exceeded the number of tickets available.

“Rather than placing every verified fan into a single queue, we distributed ticket access through a draw system among verified accounts.”

Riot then announced another wave of tickets will be available in a fan-first sale at the end of August, with the publisher promising it is reevaluating its ticket distribution process.
