Helldivers 2’s ‘Machinery of Oppression’ update adds Cyberstan and socialist Cyborgs

Helldivers 2 is taking the Galactic War straight to Cyberstan on Feb. 10 with a major update titled “Machinery of Oppression,” and it’s bringing back one of the franchise’s most recognizable threats: the Cyborgs. 

The update is going to be the next step in the game’s ongoing Automaton storyline, following recent in-game messages about the Automaton Collective stealing schematics for the Star of Peace superweapon. The upcoming update will finally make the march toward Cyberstan a reality, to bring democracy and stop the socialist bots from turning those plans into something worse.
