Square Enix has finally revealed the Xbox release date for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, arriving alongside the Switch 2 version on June 3, 2026.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was long rumoured to arrive for the Switch 2 and Xbox consoles in 2026, and it was also claimed that both versions will arrive on the same day. The Switch 2 edition received a release date announcement during their latest Nintendo Partner Direct, and the Xbox version’s confirmation came soon after.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Releases on Xbox and Switch 2 on the Same Day

Square Enix’s latest post on X (formerly Twitter) confirms Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s Xbox release date for June 2026. Interested readers can pre-order the game right now through the Xbox Store. The title features a 20% launch discount currently in select regions, bringing the game’s price down to $39.99 from the original $49.99.

That confirms the release for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth across all platforms. The next step is to wait for a proper reveal of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3. Insider NateTheHate discussed that Rebirth’s June release date could set the stage for a reveal of FF7 Remake Part 3 at Summer Game Fest 2026, and that they could “very likely confirm” that Part 3 will release day and date on all platforms. Despite his record, readers should take this information with a grain of salt.

In other news, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3’s title has been decided, and it will stick to Unreal Engine 4. Additionally, the next instalment will also bring back the snowboarding mini-game.
