Escape from Tarkov’s 1.1.0.0 Update Will Make The Early Game Much Easier

Newcomers and those early in their Escape from Tarkov journey are about to get a much more accessible and easier experience overall, thanks to the incoming 1.1.0.0 update. Battlestate Games has just confirmed what’s happening when this update drops next week, introducing the game’s first ‘season’ and implementing a series of changes to make the early game way less punishing.

This is the antithesis of everything Escape from Tarkov has become known for, but it’s no big secret that Battlestate Games intends to make this spearhead extraction title much more accessible. It all starts with 1.1.0.0 – find out why below.

Tarkov is Getting Way Easier

Escape from Tarkov has always been pretty crushing for new players, especially those (like myself, back in the day) who have no clue what they’re getting into with this challenging extraction shooter.

Last year, there was no tutorial, nothing in the way of guides, and the game did nothing to help you understand the most fundamental mechanics. Now, things have changed, and all of the above kind of exists, but there’s still plenty for Battlestate Games to do in the newbie stakes.

But more changes are coming with the 1.1.0.0 update, which is set to arrive next week.

First up, entry-level ammo types will become available earlier, giving players more choice when they’re just getting started. Also, traders are having their level-up requirements slashed. You will now need lower character levels to unlock their next tiers, and the requirement to spend money with the traders to level them up will be removed entirely.

Hideout development has been adjusted with this update in a major way:

• Initial modules have their construction times reduced
• Fewer dependencies on other modules will exist
• Found in Raid item requirements will be cut down

In PvP and PvE, insurance mechanics are being made more accessible. The cost will increase, but items will come back slowly. There’s also a new tier, offered by Jaeger for the first time ever, and this will return items in mere hours but will cost ‘significantly’ more.
