WWE 2K26 Is Free This Weekend For Almost Everyone

This weekend, WWE is set to hold one of its bigger events of the year with SummerSlam taking place on August 1 and 2 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. To celebrate the annual summer event, WWE and 2K Sports are letting everyone play WWE 2K26 absolutely free this weekend.

Well, almost everyone.

PlayStation 5 Players Are Left Out

From July 30 to August 2, players on Xbox Series X|S can download and play the full game for free. If you happen to be on Steam, you’ll get a few extra hours with it running until August 3 at 10am PT.

Those on PlayStation 5, however, are out of luck. If you want to play WWE 2K26 on the platform, you’ll have to buy the game.

Now, while the game is free this weekend for Xbox and Steam users, there are still some requirements. You can’t just download the game, load it up, and play. No, that would be too easy.

You’ll need to make sure you have a 2K Account to log into when opening the game. An internet connection is also required to play throughout the weekend. Should you decide to buy the game after the free weekend, any progress you make will carry over to the purchased game on that platform.

WWE 2K26 is the latest installment in the long-running franchise from 2K. This year’s game features a showcase mode centered around CM Punk, four new match types, and one of the largest rosters in the franchise’s history.
