A new announcement reveals that the Gears of War: E-Day multiplayer reveal will be held on July 30, 2026.
The next installment in the fan-favorite series from Coalition is scheduled for release on October 6, 2026. The developers have confirmed that the game will feature four-player co-op. They previously mentioned that adding this feature was a ‘huge investment‘, and we will finally see the multiplayer aspect in action at the end of this month.
What We Know About Gears of War: E-Day Multiplayer
The announcement for the multiplayer reveal of Gears of War: E-Day was shared on the official X account (formerly Twitter). The developers have informed players that the reveal will take place on Xbox’s official YouTube channel. Interested players can tune in there to learn about all the game’s multiplayer features.
Gears of War E-Day’s four-player multiplayer will be available across the game’s Campaign, the Horde Siege PvE mode, and the Versus PvP mode.
In Horde Siege, you will be participating in a co-op wave survival mode that features larger maps, more players, and bigger battles. You can choose a class out of Assault, Marksman, Medic, or Breacher and then join the battle as a 4-player squad. Players will also be able to team up with other squads to defeat the world bosses.
In Versus modes, you will be able to battle against different players in all-new maps and “fan-favorite 4v4 modes”. Lastly, you can also play the full Campaign with up to four players online. More details will arrive on July 30.
