Gunnar has launched all-new frames to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tomb Raider, producing a pair of glasses worthy of any collector or fan of the franchise. What’s better is that you don’t need to be a glasses wearer to own a pair, as one of the leading endeavours of Gunnar is to support all comers, and you can get non-prescription versions of the Tomb Raider glasses.
The Tomb Raider ‘Croft’ glasses from Gunnar will only set you back $99 for a sweet set that includes other collectibles, all of which I’ve outlined below.
Gunnar’s Croft Glasses Are Classic Yet Fresh
While Gunnar’s new Croft glasses echo the classic elements of Lara’s style, they manage to boast a modern edge, and that naturally includes the company’s proprietary technology.
That means that these glasses come with Gunnar’s patented lenses, the G-Shield lens coating that reduces reflections and smudging, and the blue light-blocking and UV-resistant properties you get with all lenses. Put simply, they’re as good for gamers as they are for office workers, developers, journalists, and just about anyone who wants to reduce the impact that lengthy screen sessions have on their eyes.
These officially licensed glasses have been created in partnership with Crystal Dynamics, and when you spend the $99 required to secure a pair, you’re not just getting the glasses themselves.
In the bundle, you also get a collector’s edition glasses case, a themed microfibre pouch, a special cleaning cloth, and a limited-edition Dagger of Xian collector’s pin. If that wasn’t enough, you can top the deal off with a standard 12-month warranty.
In the product description on the Gunnar site, the team wrote:
Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Tomb Raider, the Croft glasses: a refined, expedition-ready frame inspired by Lara Croft’s iconic style and the timeless legacy of the franchise. The frame features a classic round silhouette with a modern edge, echoing Lara’s early field gear while remaining perfectly suited for today’s digital explorers.
The warm bronze tones and streamlined metal construction reflect the tools of an archaeologist who moves seamlessly from ancient tombs to modern battlefields.
