A new announcement confirms that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has already managed to sell over 2 million copies across all platforms.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced was already proving to be a highly successful launch for Ubisoft, with the game reaching a concurrent peak of nearly 100,000, far higher than any other Assassin’s Creed game on the platform. Now, it seems to be selling faster than most of them too.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is Surpassing Shadows Sales

The latest post on their official X account (formerly Twitter) confirms that Black Flag Resynced sold 2 million copies on its first day. In comparison, the previous release, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, reached 1 million players on its first day. Shadows went on to accumulate 3 million players in the first week and 5 million players in the first four months. It will be interesting to see if Black Flag Resynced can surpass these milestones before Assassin’s Creed Shadows as well.

Black Flag Resynced is a remake of the highly popular Assassin’s Creed pirate adventure, in which you play as Edward Kenway, captain of the Jackdaw. The title has been enhanced with upgraded visuals, gameplay improvements, and new content. Gameplay now focuses on parries and takedowns; there have been improvements to stealth and parkour to enable better escapes and assassinations. The Jackdaw has received alternate fire modes, and quality-of-life changes have been made to address previous pain points.

Additionally, the Caribbean never looked better, with players receiving a seamless open world built with the latest Anvil engine, featuring brave stormy waters, underwater shipwrecks, dense tropical jungles, and more. Moreover, it is a faithful remake that retains the original content.
