Team Vitality has confirmed that An ‘Fiesta’ Hyeon-seo will play for Vitality in the LEC 2026 Summer Split following the benching of Marek ‘Humanoid’ Brázda.
The 23-year-old League of Legends mid-laner has most recently played for FEARX Youth, the BNK FEARX academy roster.
Vitality announces Fiesta signing to lukewarm reception
After finishing at the top of the Regular Season table in the LEC Spring Split, Vitality’s 0-2 collapse in the playoffs has signaled a shift within the organization, with Fiesta joining the roster in favor of LEC veteran Humanoid.
Following Vitality’s playoff exit, Insider Gaming spoke to Team Vitality co-founder Nicolas Maurer about Vitality’s future plans. The Vitality CSO emphasized the importance of building around Kaan ‘Naak Nako’ Okan.
“What I know is that we have only one player under contract for the future. It’s Naak Nako. He’s the key to the future of Vitality in League.
“Now, let’s see what we do around him. But we have a generational talent in-house, so now we need to be smart and make the right decision to surround him with the right team to succeed.”
While Vitality’s long-term vision is to build around Naak Nako, the short-term vision of Fiesta joining is unclear. Fans have largely been left confused by the player’s profile. The 23-year-old is not particularly young for an academy player, nor particularly experienced for a 23-year-old.
The Korean has four LCK splits, from 2022 to 2024, under his belt from his time at Nongshim RedForce, but has only played LCK Challengers and Turkish Championship League (TCL) splits since, playing in EMEA Masters in Summer 2024 and Winter 2025.
That European experience will at least alleviate communications and meta concerns as Fiesta adjusts to the LEC, but whether the player is a long-term solution for Vitality is doubtful.
Vitality Head Coach, Patrick ‘Pad’ Suckow-Breum described the move, saying, “bringing in Fiesta, who we thought was the most likely candidate to slot into the team’s needs & having a lot of the same strengths as Marek on the map. A very self-sufficient, mechanically gifted player who can progress the map, who teamfights very well.”
Veteran LEC coach joins Vitality
In conjunction with the move, Vitality also announced the acquisition of Norwegian Assistant Coach Bjørn-Vegar ‘Hansen’ Hansen.
Hansen has coached several LEC rosters, including Astralis, Gentle Mates, and Movistar KOI, where he attended MSI 2025 and Worlds 2025 with the roster.
Pad stated that Hansen, “will come in a[nd] bring a lot of experience + structure for drafts & scouting. We wanted to make sure that [we] are proactive around getting drafts just right for our teams going into summer, and Hansen will be an amazing addition for that.”
Vitality fans will be glad to see improvements in the draft. Still, they may be focusing most of their hope on more promising scouting in the future, considering the reception of Fiesta’s arrival.
